Why we exist?
Youth Demographics
By 2050, half of Africa’s population will be under 35, requiring skills for the 21st-century workforce to avoid economic stagnation (African Union, Global Partnership for Education)
Learning Poverty
87% of Sub-Saharan African children cannot read by age 10, far above the global average of 64% (UNESCO, World Bank).
Out-of-School Children
Over 97 million African children and youth are out of school, including 32 million primary-aged children, due to poverty, child labor, and poor infrastructure (UNICEF).
Gender Disparities
The girl child faces barriers suuch as early marriage and gender-based violence, leading to lower enrollment and retention rates (Global Partnership for Education).
Digital Divide
By 2030, 230 million jobs in Africa will require digital skills, but most schools lack the infrastructure and curriculum to prepare students (UNESCO, African Union).
Infrastructure Deficits
Half of African schools lack electricity and adequate sanitation facilities, which impacts both attendance and the quality of education (Global Partnership for Education).
